VITO PETROCELLI

Senatore della Repubblica Italiana nella 17° e 18° legislatura (15/03/2013 – 12/10/2022), è stato Presidente della Commissione Affari Esteri ed Emigrazione (2018-2022).
Dal 2013 al 2022 ha ricoperto altri incarichi istituzionali e politici. Presidente della sezione bilaterale Italia-Cina dell’Unione Inter Parlamentare (2018-2022). Vicepresidente del Comitato per le Questioni degli italiani all’estero (2016-2018). Segretario d’aula (2014), Presidente (2014) e Tesoriere (2015-2016) del Gruppo parlamentare M5S. È stato anche componente della Commissione Finanze e tesoro e Segretario della Commissione Industria, commercio e turismo.

Ha firmato, il 19/06/2019 a Mosca, il Protocollo di cooperazione parlamentare con l’Onorevole Konstantin Kosachev, presidente del Comitato per gli Affari internazionali del Consiglio della Federazione Russa.

Invitato dal Dipartimento per gli Affari Internazionali del PCC, ha guidato un’ampia delegazione parlamentare in visita a Pechino, Chongqing e Xiamen (2018). Ha partecipato ai lavori del secondo Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation a Pechino (2019).

Nato nel 1964, si è laureato all’Università degli studi di Bari e vive a Matera. È sposato e padre di due figli.

He held other institutional and political positions from 2013 to 2022. Chairman of the Italy-China bilateral section of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (2018-2022). Vice-Chairman of the Committee on the Issues of Italians Abroad (2016-2018). Chamber Secretary (2014), President (2014) and Treasurer (2015-2016) of the M5S Parliamentary Group. He was also a member of the Finance and Treasury Committee and Secretary of the Industry, Trade and Tourism Committee.

He signed, on 19/06/2019 in Moscow, the Protocol on Parliamentary Cooperation with Mr. Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Council of the Russian Federation.

He led a large parliamentary delegation to visit Beijing, Chongqing and Xiamen (2018).He participated in the work of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing (2019).

He was born in 1964, he graduated from the University of Bari and he lives in Matera. He is married and the father of two children.
